United Kingdom

Rolls-Royce has a huge presence in the UK. We directly employ 21,300 people, and through our supply chains and employee spending support 106,000 people. That accounts for one in every 300 UK jobs.

Rolls-Royce UK generates annual sales of £5.7 billion, three-quarters of which comes from exports, meaning that we are directly responsible for 2 percent of total UK goods exports. Moreover, we are responsible for £6 in every £1,000 of GDP generated in the UK.

Over the past 20 years we’ve also invested over £12.5 billion in research and development in the UK. And we’ve invested in 19 University Technology Centres at 14 UK universities, keeping our engineers at the forefront of scientific research.

These are a lot of numbers, but they all add up to the same thing: a business that is both thriving in its own right and crucial to raising the standard of living for all people throughout the UK.
