The Rolls-Royce NVC-Design™ range of fishing vessels is extensive and includes longliners, purse seiners and pelagic trawlers and stern trawlers. Designs are available for operation in all waters. Over 116 NVC-Design fishing vessels are on order or in-service, with new designs continually being developed to meet owners specific needs.

Ship design for longliners

The NVC-Design for longliners or combined longliner/gilnet vessels are developed to provide optimum fuel conpsumption, fish handling and working conditions.

Ship design for stern trawlers

Our designs for stern trawlers range from small and compact wet fish trawlers to large and powerful factory freeze trawlers.

NVC-Design purse seiners and pelagic trawlers

Our range of pelagic vessel designs consists of all sizes RSW-cooled bulk carrying vessels to large and powerful factory processing freezing trawlers.

NVC-Design oceanographic research vessels

These multifunctional vessels are designed for tasks including deep-sea ROV – and AUV – operations, fishing and a variety of scientific research operations.

Safe working conditions coupled with excellent sea-keeping, fuel efficiency and low noise and vibration, are hallmarks of the NVC environmentally sound designs. Great care is taken to match the propulsion system to the hull to provide the optimum pulling capacity with economic fuel consumption.

Included in the ship design is a comprehensive systems package that includes the propulsion system, rudder, steering gear and thrusters, plus the hydraulic deck machinery.
